Looking for cheap computer speakers
« on: April 07, 2004, 04:25:41 AM »
I mean CHEAP.  Like $30.  Don't need a sub, mids, all that stuff...just a couple reg. smaller speakers.  The ones I have now are old and probably costs like $20 but they are all I need...too bad they pop constantly.  I've looked around and can only find sets for like $150 at best buy.

Go to staples.  I don't know what best buy you are going to but the ones I've been in have had cheap speakers as well.

EDIT: These aren't too bad.

I went to wal-mart and saw these computer speakers with a sub for $20 on the electronics sale rack or whatever.  absolutely perfect for playing mp3's, even rap sounds decent on em.
Line Audio CM4 / AT853Rx (c,h,o) / Studio Projects C4 MKII (c,h,o)
Sound Devices MP-2 / bm2p+ Edirol UA-5
Zoom F3 / F6 / Marantz Oade Warm Mod PMD661 / Tascam DR-70D

Picked up those Creatives at Walmart for $15...can't beat that!  For $15 speakers they sound fucking awesome.  Very clear highs, nice mids...no lows to speak of but for what I listen to at the computer it will fine.

but I really like these

Altec Lansing ACS 33 - $50

But I've bought them on sale for as cheap as $30-35

sound great for the $$$.
