Sorta depends on what kind of taping you do.

If your shows are standing rock oriented shows, a similar Church type mike would be a DPA which is super small, and clips onto your shirt collar.  They are omnis, but make great stack tapes, where you are standing near the stacks.

If your shows are seated, buy the best set of mikes you can possibly afford, like Neumann or Schoeps.  Like the Spy, I have a nearly identical Schoeps rig and have never looked back.

Nice mics but a significant jump in investment from CA -14s.

Yep. 

More than anything in the recording chain Mikes > cables > preamp > recorder, the mikes will make the most difference in the quality of the recording.
