I-River input impedance?
« on: May 23, 2006, 03:02:39 AM »
Hi,

I was wondering which was the input impedance for the line input of the Iriver.

Does anybody know?

Thanks,

Nice to see I'm not the one who's wondering... Let's wait to the most experienced Iriver users.

May it be a good idea to ask this on the rockbox forums?

10k
Thanks!
Measured?
Or from specs some where?

BTW: Any idea on max input level with just analog attenuation?

Thanks! I never thought that It could have the same impedance as a mic-in from a Sharp MD....

OK, good! twice that of the MT.
Now the max analog input level with just analog attenuation?

I do not understand your question sorry max input with analog attenuation? There is not such thing as analog attenuation in a digital circuit. Or are you talking externally if so the max input could be 100volts if you attenuate the signal enough :)
I will say that most recorders that have unbalanced inputs are 10k or pretty close too it.

The deck has some level controls that work in teh analog domain.
What is the max analog signal for 0dBFS I can feed into the deck with just the help of the analog level controls?

That's kind of weird  ???
My H120 is about 2.2K, not 10K - mostly influenced by a 2K7 resistor to the positive supply.  Maybe they changed the spec at some point?

Audix 1200 series cable from Chris Church, pair of Audix M1280 card capsules

Listening: Oppo 980HD>Yamaha RXV667>Rega R1's + Rega RS VOX + Rega R5S's

How did you measure it with an ohm meter or a impedance meter? they are very different measurements.

Your telling me this thing has a volume control that is not digital where do you look at the volume level on a display? or is it printed on the case?
