Post by: nic on April 22, 2004, 09:44:14 AM
so I had to replace my 6v because it wouldnt charge anymore and I checked out the local Batteries Plus and they have 6v 12AH for $23(6v 7AH for $15)!
perfect for festival type scenarios when you need 10-12 hours use :)
all you need to do is move/build the 4pin XLR cable. . .

they have stores everywhere:

6v 12ah is $10.95

They even have a 6v 43ah for $39.95 (small man and boy to carry not included)  :P

Depends on where you are, we happen to be in DC area, this place is also in VA but opposite side of state, shipping on 6 batteries at a time has been less than $10...

Shipping on (4) 6v 12ah batteries to CA is only $15.85 from them, so I still think they are really reasonable...

(course that is ground shipping  ;D)

is this place in Petersburg?
I'm in Richmond and last year stumbeled on a wharehouse in Petersburg for SLAs. they were cheaper than everyone else, but their shipping made the total battery price average

i got a 6volt 7amp hour battery at home depot for $16. it was a little tough to find, but i eventually found them in the home security/alarm section.

i then went to rat-shack and got a 6v sla charger, they call it a 6v lantern charger, that has fast charge and trickle charge. cost another $16 bucks.

Nope, these guys are in Winchester.  Just checked on their site, for 2 6v 7ah batts are $17.90 + tax + $5.44 shipping...  So, $24.16 shipped in VA.

They have a 12v 1ah charger for round $12 I think... We use them at work for all of our UPS,  couldn't find anyone cheaper even after adding in the shipping.
