Power bank for Olympus LS-P2?
« on: April 19, 2020, 09:28:57 AM »
Hello Everyone.

Could someone please recommend me a power bank which would be compatible with my Olympus LS-P2 recorder? As I use it for field recording, it would help me a lot if I could extend its battery life beyond the limits of a single AAA battery it is designed for. I tried using a power bank with output parameters which were identical to the parameters an A-514 AC adapter recommended by Olympus for this model (5V, 1A), but for some strange reason, each time I connected the power bank, my recorder would make a beeping sound typical for error situations and turn off. The recorder itself is working flawlessly. Now, as I don't know what was the problem, I have no idea what to look for. Do any of you have any experience with powering the LS-P2 from a power bank?
