Reaper basics help
« on: November 15, 2024, 05:43:51 PM »
Working on processing my first show. I’m using Reaper. Can someone help with the basics.

Normalize? What’s a good starting db?
Edit Loudness at all?
Fades I can figure that out….

Once I make these edits do I export each track then edit each title/info in Mp3tag

Do export as WAVE file. What bit? Sample Rate? Anything else?

Dbfs anywhere around -0.2 to -0.5 to allow for inter sample peaks if converting to MP3 (like Archive)
Loudness Normalization -12 to -14 LUFS (basically streaming audio level; I use -13)
You can export each track as FLAC 16/48khz and you can tag them in mp3tag.
