Hello Everyone:
I don't know if this has been asked before but I have a bunch of old shows I taped (2002-05) which I recorded on MiniDisc. When I originally transferred these, they were done analog to my PC.
I edited these shows for CD (fade in/out) but would like to go back to the source discs and retransfer. Unfortunately, I have no way of doing this optically (which wouldn't matter since some of these shows were recorded in LP Mode (32kHz).... and the Edirol R-09 doesn't have Optical In, anyhow.
So, the question is - when I transfer these shows (analog) to my Edirol R-09, should I record 44.1/16 or 48/24? Just trying to get a good answer to this before I start this massive undertaking (about 30-40 shows).
Cheers,
Adrian.

No matter what speed the receiving recordor is recording it the files will never sound better than the original although they may use a lot more bits to do so. 16/44.1 is plenty good. If you want digital xfers mail me offline.
