Title: Drawing juice while power is off?
Post by: greenone on April 26, 2004, 11:24:24 AM
Learned the hard way that the ADC-20 drains too much juice to leave it plugged in for hours before the show (which is why my BP-50 died on me on Friday).

Got me thinking about my V2, which I never had a problem leaving plugged in (but turned off...no on/off on the ADC-20, so I *have* to unplug it). I think I know the answer, but can the V2 draw juice while the power switch is off?

whenever you have a connection there you draw at least a little juice.  generally its not enough to be concerned about but you do draw some.

Cool, thanks Jonny. If I went months without taping (don't know why I'd do that ;) ) I'd probably disconnect everything, and then recharge the battery before going back out anyway, but it's good to know I won't completely suck the battery dry.
