Hi!
I've got some questions about the CA-9100.
1) I've just got an CA-9100 from Chris. How should I use the multimeter to measure the voltage that is supplied to my mics?
2) Which is the current version (I mean the "number": 3.3 , 4.0 etc) of the CA-9100?
3) How do I know which version I have?

I believe it is currently 4.4

Mine is written in silver sharpie in the battery compartment.

Someone else will have to tell you how to test it, but according to Chris Church the newer ST-9100's are supposed to provide 8 volts of power to your mics. I think this is more than enough to properly power any mini-mics that we talk about on this board, including your CA-11's.

Well, "with a little help from a friend" I was able to figure out (I bet) how to measure the tension that goes to the mics. See the picture.
You need to insert an open P2 plug in the mics input and put one piece of the multimeter on the central conector and one piece on one of the other 2 (left or right channel).
Anybody agrees? Disagrees?

I use 1/8" male/male cable... plug into preamp, and measure on the other end. (+) is tip and ring, sleeve is (-).
