No, but my gut tells me those spheres wouldn't do a whole lot even if they were real speakers instead of 3D CAD models! Not that there aren't valid applications for diffusers like that, but it looks
like a scam amateurish gimmicky (that's the word!).

anyone here every spent some time with omni speakers?

the VR-4s (which seem to be popular here) are omni-directional, I believe.

I've have a pair of them, but they're not omni-directional. They're "quasi" omni-directional at best, which is a big difference. They do, however, have very good off-axis response, which was one of the design goals. I bought them in '95 or '96 and I don't see myself getting rid of them any time in the next few years. Because the sound off-axis isn't dramatically different, the sound throughout the room is more consistent than from most other loudspeakers I've heard. I only sit in the actual sweet spot once in a blue moon. Planar-magnetics (i.e. Magnepan) and electrostats for example, tend to do the opposite--the sound can change when you move your head.
One of the best deals on the used market, hands down.

damn'd straight.
they are not omni, as stated. there is only that rear ambient tweeter that provides anything in from the rear.
they are more like a dipolar speaker (like a maggie or quad or MLs).
but not quite..as its not an equal distribution.
have to love those VR4s !
