Should ck62 capsules be bought in pairs
« on: June 28, 2010, 08:36:27 AM »
I'm looking at a single 62 cap for what seems to be a good price $179.
Is it a bad idea to get another one later for use on a pair of 460's?
Is it the caps or bodies (or both) that need to match?
I read some threads that suggest that better mics are nearly matched anyway.
Opinions?

Thanks,
Dave

AKG caps are not officially matched by AKG either as I was told when looking for ck63 caps about a month ago.
AKG ck63 > AKG c480b > Marantz PMD670
