Title: SoundBlaster Live 24bit ?? anyone
Post by: Roose on June 13, 2005, 11:23:28 AM
i have the old soundblaster live that came with my pc about 7 years ago.  Recently I have gotten a buzzing from my speakers, Cambridge Soundworks 4.1,  They dude at Best Buy said it was my sound card . Hmmm.  The new 24bit cards don't have the same inputs as the old one.  Anyone have any experience with this?   The Audiophile2496 I have doesn't hook up to my speakers.

The audiophile 2496 has rca outputs (same as a non-portable cd player or tape deck), radio shack (etc.) carries a 2xrca>1/8" stereo mini adaptor that will allow you to use your audiophile 2496 to play music through your speakers.

Regarding the buzzing noise, I'd be surprised if it's the soundcard itself -- does the noise stop if the speakers are unplugged from the soundcard?
