Just five weeks after international shipments resumed and here it is... Even smaller and more fabulous than I dared imagine.
A very, very happy customer here.

It's a bit vanilla, I'm afraid: 48v for DPAs and dual output (so I have the option of using the output transformers). I have to admit to spending a good proportion of last night just looking at it in quiet awe. I feel so privileged to be taping in an era when gear of this quality and ingenuity (not to mention economy!) is available.
I'll post take a couple of photos soon - can't believe how small this thing is. It's tight-jeans-pocket small... ;)

Nice rig, keep us posted as I'd love to hear the DPAs with output transformers on an amplified rock show :D

That's awesome. I remember reading many threads where you were bummed that international shipping had been suspended. Congratulations on getting your new toy!
Did they hit your up for import duty?

:D I did go on about that shipping restriction a lot, didn't I? It was worth the wait though.
And yes, they did get me for import taxes: £64! (including a £13 "admin" charge)... That stung a bit but it's all money well-spent as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, me too. (Looking forward to checking out that Charlie Hunter recording when I get home). Can't see any gigs of interest over the next couple of weeks though... I'll have to find something soon, I'm desperate to see what this little thing can do.

The ole 'admin charge' huh? That's capitalism at it's worst, isn't it? It's not enough to charge you a tax, but then they have to charge you to administer the tax...whatever the hell that means. What's next? A processing fee to figure out how to apply the admin charge on the tax? Oh well, glad you're happy with your tinybox.
BTW, I didn't think you went on and on about the shipping restrictions...I just remember you were one of the guys that was frustrated about that restriction because you wanted a tinybox. ;)
BTW X2...you're just the latest person (me included) to comment how amazed they are that the tinybox is so tiny. Pictures just don't do it justice. I've said this before, but I really do believe that Jon is a true innovator and it's amazing the features and options packed into such a small package. And just think about this...Tinybox V3.0 will have a digital signal processor with tons of additional options for on-board gain controls, level balancing, and so forth. Just amazing.

As Tonedeaf says, photos do not do it justice at all but here's a handful:

^^ Nice Rig!!! I love my Tinybox!!

Nice! Are the minijacks screw in to prevent it from unplugging?

Yes. I think I've only once accidentally yanked a 3.5mm plug when recording but it seemed like a nice feature to have.

^ Agree. It's nice to have everything locked down for high confidence factor that nothing is messed up. Mine has a locking output jack too and it's sweet. It would be awesome if the handheld recorders had a threaded input, I'd put it on that end too and then everything would be locked down from the mics all the way back to the recorder.

Very nice! can't wait to order one myself but with a KCY Input like my littleBox. And it's def sweet to have the transformer on/off plugs....

Absolutely. If the sockets on my M10/R-09 ever failed I would certainly look into how possible it would be to replace them with a threaded version.
