Hi folks. I have a lose DC connection between my MIC2496 pre and external NIMH battery. I got the battery from
www.batteryspace.com, and it's cable terminates in two pins, on which you push a connector for whatever you need, in this case 5.0MM for the DC in jack on the MIC2496. The resulting connection is too lose! The next connector size up is a tighter fit but results in no power flow. The lose connection means that invariably, no matter how careful I am, power is disconnected from the MIC2496 for just long enough that it generates a very loud POP that ends up on my recording. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this 4,000MA pack. Is there something paper-thin and conductive that I can put around the end of the connector, that won't come off inside the preamp's DC jack, to make things just a hair wider?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Note: I'm keeping everything in a padded bag - battery, bat box for mics, Microtrack, Preamp, etc. so things are as protected as they're likely to get.
