This is what DPA uses on their new module mic series (or at least has been in their promo photos). Cool, but wondering how durable they will be.

They look pretty thin.Similiar to the 402x cables.

Sure looks like it, doesn't it? :)  As hi and lo pointed out, I'd be concerned about durability.  Mogami is very good cable but looking at the picture (and it's hard to tell) it appears to be roughly the same diameter as an XLR pin.  That is awfully thin and not as robust as what they use for the 402x line.

I think it's the same cable as the 402x line, not any better, but I think its the same stuff. I have a hard time believing that DPA would use a worse off cable than previously.

If I had the new mmp-c bodies, I'd totally get a set of these and chop them 2' in, and combine them into a 6-pin binder or mini-xlr, then run whatever single techflex behind that for adjustable lengths. Real clean-like.

Who's got an over/under on $90 per cable.

One of the main reasons for a typical XLR connector's size is because of the robust strain relief provided by the cable boot.  I wonder how these new cables are going to accomplish the correct amount of strain relief in such a small space.

it sounds like these are supposed to be for long runs in church rafters or something.  not to be handled at all after installation.  small to keep them out of sight.

and over on the $90.

The over is a lock, I think...thomann.de, a German music supply company, has the 10 meter cable for 88 euros.  As a point of reference, they are selling a single 4060 for 311 euros...

Also, there is a video that briefly shows one of these cables in the thread about the modular line: http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=141025.msg1842383#msg1842383 (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=141025.msg1842383#msg1842383).
