I was wondering if anyone is using these mics or have you heard anything about them. They seem kind of interesting since they have the changeable cap. The price is definately right.
Any input would be appreciated.

Alex Herd here runs them, I think. Here's a link to a post including a URL to his LF recording (amazing what the search feature of the board can do for you): :P (sorry, I couldn't resist...just a joke!)

Hey man, I do infact run these mics. That Little Feat show was my first so, its a little rough. I just taped Wilco last night and pulled a kick ass tape IMHO ;) If you would like, I will B&P if for you, I'll PM you my address if you want it.
Of course these are not the best mics in the world. The most common mic in the $300- is the AKG c1000. I've heard a lot of c1000 tapes, and I think the Superlux are just as good. If your on a budget, go for it. But thats just my opinion. ;D

Are these made from chinnese caps??

Yes.
Word is that QC is quite good.
I have a colleague who I respect immensely. He has indicated that the comparison in studios with the Superlux and other Chinese mics leaves the Superlux in a great position.
Happy Recording,
Marc
