Frequency conversion in recording?
« on: July 13, 2004, 03:21:10 PM »
hey guys
so im using a Edirol MX-100 directly via usb to my IBM T41 laptop. The MX100 in advanced mode puts out 24 bit, 44.1 khz sound. Im using audacity to record. I've done tests running in advanced mode with audacity at 24/96 and it recorded. Does anyone see a problem in this? does the computer simply keep the 24 bits and resample the audio or what? is this a safe idea or should i record in 24/44.1? any help/input would be great
thanks
adam
