HELP ME OUT GUYS! im at a total loss here. I need to get a good set of mics with a bass roll off box ASAP. Im following Nine Inch Nails around for 11 shows and i need to get a get set of mics before i head out on the road. (illl allso be recording U2 twice) If anyone can hook me up with links to where i can buy a set up for $120 or less, PLEASE DO!

I was thinking about these on ebay but wasnt sure if they are worth the money.......

ill be reocrding in such venues as The Warfield in San Francisco and SOMA in San Diego (small club like venues) for Nine Inch Nails and then sporta arenas for U2. HELP ME OUT GUYS AS IM AT A LOSS! Ill take any offers for people who are looking to sell their used mics!

that would work, but id recomend getting a battery box w/ a bass rolloff, especially if youre using omni mics

Squids are not what you want for taping NIN but if that's all you can afford than they'll get the job done. They just don't sound that great and you'll probably end up having to run alot of EQ on your recordings before they sound decent. They probably won't cause much or any distortion on the recordings but they just don't have what it takes to make good tapes. If that's all that you can afford they will have to do, but if you can caugh up $250 you can get a much better setup. Alot of people will tell you that Core Sound Binaurals have better sound than the Squids also and they're in the same price range. For your best results I'd recommend you check out soundprofessionals.com and look at their selection of cardiod mics. Those cost a bit more but are well worth the money. If you buy the squids you'll end up buying more mics later cuz they aren't good.

Also if you are using a minidisc you'll need multiple discs for each show because both those bands play more than 74 minutes.

Right now i currently have $88 on my paypal account. lol my max budget will be around $120. If anyone can supply me with links that would be great. I used to have the Core-sound bianural mics but sold those three years ago and im kicking myself for doing so. I currently cannot afford those again but im looking for something along those lines...........

You do realise that seller is in the UK right? Good luck getting that on time. Maybe you shoulda looked for a used minidisc player cuz that's rather expensive for such a toy. I paid $50 for a sony minidisc a while back. Worked great while I was using it.

Also if you have tickets for 11 NIN shows, there's people willing to pay $200 per ticket on ebay right now for most dates. You'll be sick of watching the same show after 3 days, the set lists will be nearly identical each night. But good luck on taping and if you do I'm sure everyone would like copies.

yah, im finding out that i might not get my rig in time

The only reason why i bought it was becuase i used that back in 2000-2001
to record shows (ive recorded about 20+ shows) and i know that thing inside
and out. Now i just need a good set of mics.......

Why doesn't ebay make it easier to inform them of deadbeats like this guy? I'm always seeing boots for sale but it takes so fucking much work to report it.

But guy, I hope you can't tape any of the shows you go to, you're the kind of taper that makes it so hard for the rest of us to get permission.

You can -T someone that you mistakenly +T'd by hitting the -T option again. It will adjust accordingly.
