wavelab 5 uv22hr dithering help
« on: October 19, 2005, 11:25:24 PM »
For some reason, when I attempt to dither down to 16bit from 24 using uv22hr, I keep getting 24bit files.  Wavelab acts like it is processing the file, but the end result is reporting as 24bit both in explorer and wavelab.  However, the bit meter in wavelab is only showing 16bits worth of data.  I assume there is a bug and wavelab is not writing the headers correctly?

Well, figured it out right after I got frustrated and posted a msg.  You have to change the output format to 16bit and sample rate to 44.1 or it writes the header incorrectly (I'm doing this in batch applying both plugins in series).  You'd think it would change the output format automatically when the dither plugin is used, but apparently it's not that integrated.
