Very interested in the M/S config, especially in regards to small venues where you can set up pretty close to the stage, but was wondering if anyone has tried using two diff akg caps to do this?

I'm sure someone has used two different AKG caps to do it, but I don't know who.  I have heard from someone that used the AKG ck94 with a neumann km140 however.  They were happy with the results.  I would think that using two AKG mics would results in good results as well.

It would be fun to try if you have the means, regardless of whether you like the results.

I ran an AK40 and a ck94 cap in M/S for a little while. It sounded mighty fine on stage! I used the trusty shure stereo bar. Not the most low profile setup, but it got the job done.
