Topic: Quick Montage Question

So I am trying to finish up this matrix that I had sitting at only 25% done.  I load in the 6th SBD track of 20 and notice that it goes in but no waveform is showing.  Odd. 

I mute the AUD track and there is SBD sound there.  More odd. 

I zoom in to x 1:64 and greater and see that there is a waveform showing now, yet when I zoom out to x 1:128 or farther the waveform disappears from view.  I think that I might have clicked on something to make this happen since it was not doing it earlier.  Help or tips?

Probably not the answer but, whenever WL misbehaves I:

Save
Exit
Reboot
Go back in.

WL 5 sometimes won't give the RAM a break and you have to force it.

when you were saying tracks 17 and 20 I thought you were taking a full multi from the board!  Anyways, I'm curious why you didn't just run it all through the 410?  If I remember right the fw410 is 2 analog and 8 digital right?  Couldn't you have done ad20 + sbd > fw410 and then had your clocks the same?  Just curious...

So there is another update to me losing the montage info.  It turns out that the AUD and the SBD were WAAAAY out of sync towards the end, but only for a single track.  I went back and re-did the whole thing and get this:  I have one track, 17 or 20 where all of a sudden the soundboard goes a full 150ms slower!   

There is a little bit of feedback and about 14 seconds later another light burst of feedback and WHAM! 150ms slower, just like that.  In short, my second attempt was hosed too and I needed to chop up track 17 into a part a and a part b to get it and 18, 19 and 20 back in sync.  Then end result was 150ms of aud only for t17 where I had to raise the levels about 4db to compensate.  It sucked and is still boggling my mind.

If I'm reading this thread correctly and you are saying that the board recording slowed down and ended up being 150ms longer, then i'd suggest that nothiing in the analog stream should cause the slowness afaik.

This would then point to the jb3. I have one myself and haven't experienced this sort of thing but i've only run analog into it one time...
