« on: May 29, 2006, 05:01:57 PM »
I'm looking to buy a set of stealth mics that would work up to 100 feet away from a stage....I'm looking to spend no more then $500.....is it possible?
Any suggestions?

Nobody got any suggestions?

Here's mine - AT853 (H) (or AT933 with adaptors and 853 hyper caps).

Just make sure the mics are aimed reasonably well towards the sound source.

Is the $500 budget for the mics only, or also for recorder, preamp, cables, etc.?  If for mics only, with what other gear do you plan on running the mics?

Knowing the mic position distances expected helps for apropriate suggestions.

I usually ask the following questions to determine best fit for mic and needed accessories:

What kind of music?  Loudest and softest music expected.

What deck is being used, or model you are considering to purchase?    As mentioned, is this part of the $500 budget?
