I've run 2's, 21's, 4's, 41's, and 4v's.  I have owned 4's, 4v's, and just picked up a pair of 41's.   I would definitely go for the 41's and keep the 4's.  I ran 4's then 4v's and back to 4's and ate my lunch on the sell of the 4v's.  I ended up liking the sound of the 4's better in general with my rigs.

The 21's are nice but limited use.  The 2's even more limited.

help from a few members here, i now own a pair.

get the 41's first for sure. Then take a gander at the 21's next, maybe 2's and 3's (omni's) if you are feeling adventerous.

41's are one of the best overall caps you can get....I sold mine to upgrade my hometheater...but I know I will miss them badly.

If I were you I'd sell the 4's, and get 21's and 41's. .

Edtyre,

I would NOT recommend the 4V's for what you do, not for any sonic reasons but for the reason of lateral pickup, and very tough to mount 4v's stealth.

Love your stuff on Dime !

In the Kangol I feel that mounting the 4v's is much easier.

I pulled my best tapes with mk21h/mk8 midside.  Doesn't work so well if you can't get to a sweet spot, but if you can, the results are unbeatable.

I had a friend who had a great stealth setup with cmbis and mk4vs.  Run them taped to your chest, ortf, under a light shirt.  VERY low profile.

You can run the 21's x,y up extreme FOB, and NOS from the sweet spot. You will probably get more use out of the 41's though.

good move! I think hypers are useful in most indoor situations, but I like the 41s in most any environment.

4 years ago I owned the 41's and 21's. Sold 'em. Thinking of going back. This time around I'm leaning towards the CCM4's. All this talk of the 4V's has me thinking. Does the high end bump really help those who are/were not real happy with the dark side? I'm keeping my 463's for those "hyper" situations, so I won't be looking at the 41's this time around. Just want the best card cap Schoeps has, and not so much of that dark sound.
