iMovie effects: Adjust colors, Brightness & Contrast
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:56:34 PM »
Someone recently mentioned doing color correction on all their DVD projects, but I had never thought about it.

Any opinions on using either of these iMovie effects when making a DVD project? Any degradation in quality, or are the improvements noticeable and worth doing? I have some footage at a venue where the lighting was horribly dim, so this might be a good candidate for an attempt.

I do color correction on every footage i shoot or receive, but unless imovie has a vectorscope and wave monitor you would just be blindly making adjustments.first learn how to read the vectorscope and wave monitor. Here's a quick little reel i did ...the stuff with the band isn't really color correction but  a new look so to speak.
