Title: battery advice please: Linear 16VAC / 1000mA 16 Watts
Post by: Elguapo511 on April 17, 2018, 03:49:06 PM
i have a presonus dual path blue tube that I'm gonna bring to a show.
not ideal, but all i have.

+12 VDC, 1A, center pin positive

those are the tech specs for the plug in power.  but there seem to be millions of options.

is there one for under 30bucks.  and is that 1A crucial.  Can I use a 15v battery?

thanks,  taping trey anastasio in chicago

It is not likely you will find an uncommon voltage like that for under $30.  You could build a pack but just get a large capacity battery and add it to your bag.  If you are not powering this box you can use it for other stuff.

I believe "16 VAC" means 16 Volts-AC (not DC)...IF SO...short of 120v AC and the Walwart the unit came with...not sure how you could power it in the field.
