It means sometimes when you hit record, the screen says media full.  Just hit record again and it starts recording.  Doesn't always happen and the newest firmware i think fixes that problem.

Got it.  I kind of thought that's what you might have meant but I also thought that maybe you were saying you were having those problems with the latest firmware (I'm not, so I was concerned).  Any reason you don't upgrade (I suspect that the scattered reports of units being bricked is the prime one)?

I upgraded... before that the card would not work at all... Now... a push again past media full is the biggest issue. (I can live with that). I bought the MT  the day they came out... I didn't love it then.   I use it as a bit bucket behind the UA-5 mostly and occationally I plug in mics to record on the spot. These days I love it. Not enough to buy one of those cases though.

That's odd. Your's is the first report I've read of the problem happening with the new firmware.  You're certain you're using 1.4.6 which supposedly had the fix? It worked for my PQI card.  What kind of card are you using that still has the issue?  Maybe someone else has the exact same one and can confirm that they have the problem as well (or not).

The problem went away for me too, with the latest firmware. I'm using a transend 8gb cf card.
