BBC Sounds content
« on: August 23, 2024, 09:55:11 AM »
I know there must be a way of downloading BBC sounds content but I can't find a straightforward way of doing it.

It seems that non-podcast material is not downloadable on a non-mobile device and that file downloadable to mobile devices are non-transferable.

I downloaded a program that was meant to help achieve downloads onto a Windows machine but I couldn't get my head round it (it just seemed to generate a load of error messages about missing content in a command prompt window).

I really want a copy of the recent Nick Drake tribute proms concert and this is driving me to distraction...

Broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 2
Are you looking to capture these streams live, or download from an archive?

Thanks for the replies.

That program, I think, is the one I was struggling with earlier. But I'll try again.

I was hoping to download and keep the audio from the online repository but I suspect I might just wait for the rebroadcast and record it in real time.

It looks like this is the link to the programme you wish to capture:
