Maybe also the Marantz PMD620, the Zoom H2, the soon-to-be-released Olympus ?? (maybe LS-10).

There has been an explosion of new flash audio recorders in the past 6 months! It's hard to keep track of them all.
Below is my list of recorders currently for sale as new stock. The list below does not include gadgets whose primary function is as an audio player, with recording as a secondary function (e.g., iPod). The list also does not include equipment that is available on the used market only (e.g., iRiver H120).
I marked the ones that are announced, but not yet for sale with an askerisks. Prices are from deals I have seen online, not list price.
You can find lots of information about each of these recorders by searching in this forum. Which one is best? Well, if we could agree on that then world peace would surely follow.

nice list.
out of all of that...only 4 w/a digital input.
one yet to be released, and another on an MD deck. I wonder what is so cost prohibitive about a digital input ?
slackers!

also, I would put my money on (if placing bets) the sony MD deck as having the best sounding preamps.
