I can't find a good solution for this common problem and I've read through other posts on the topic. I wan't to record line in through the 1/4 inch jacks on my microrack from my TT preamp. The signal is too hot and clips a bit (not a lot). Ideally someone would be able to make me a cable that includes some attenuation that has RCA jacks on one end and 1/4 inch mono jacks on the other. I've asked a couple people without any response.
The other options include:
1) RCA Y cable to 1/8 inch stereo jack into (

2) RCA line attenuator bullets (

Any thoughts about the best way to go.? I want to do some transfers of some of my vinyl at 24/96. For some reason my M-audio audiophile usb soundcard only really records at 48k when hooked up to my mac laptop. Thanks
