this is pretty interesting.  i haven't done any more looking to find out what will be necessary to play them or if other studios are likely to get on board.

my TV has a media gallery function where you can network the panel to a computer network and pull content off of a pc, including HD content.  I wonder if there will be a way to access these movies?  hmmm....

Like the iTV?

Keep in mind that the HD movies are just analyst speculation, not confirmed as of yet. iTV, however, is confirmed and was demoed this fall. It makes sense that they'd go hand in hand, though.

i don't know anything about this really but when i was looking at tvs they told me in order to connect and watch hd stuff via your comp, that you needed a special video card otherwise it was like watching standard def tv on a 1080 hd tv
you wouldn't see a difference

again i don't know anything about it, maybe macs have the video card you need already or maybe the new modles are going to come with it
who knows, not me :)

The iTV will have an HDMI connector, which I believe will allow for HD content to be streamed to an HDTV. But, like you, I don't really know much about the whole HDTV stuff - just that I like what I see on other people's HDTVs (our 27" flat screen, not flat panel, will work fine for now).
