not sure if this would even work for field recording purposes, but for under $400 it's not a bad looking unit. phantom power, switchable tube pre-amp. of course, I don't know too much about specifics and this thing may need to be modified to run without a computer. it looks cool, that's for sure. oh, I found this in Popular Science of all places!
