XLR problem
« on: March 09, 2004, 11:10:04 AM »
I got some right angle XLRs to go between my MP-2 and my mic bodies.  The connectors on the ends that plug into the MP2 are to wide to fit both plugs without forcing it, they will fit and pass a signal but i dont like forcing it even though the MP2 does seem sturdy.

Does anyone have any ideas besides sell the cables and get some that fit? ???

I had this problem til I got rid of the right angles.  The best idea is to buy a short (~1 ft) set of straight angle interconnects, plug those into the MP2 in all cases, and plug the right angles into them.  Last thing you want to do is bend the pins in the MP2 by forcing it

I forgot to mention that the cables are only 2ft long, so I was thinking if I was going to buy another set of straight interconnects i would just ditch the right angles.

Does anyone make a very short Male > Female XLR connector so I could step one of the cables off of the side a little bit.  If this part does exist would it be a problem that both left and right signals didnt go the same path.
