JB3/Notmad users, HELP!!!
« on: March 10, 2004, 01:58:16 PM »
hi, I've been about to shoot my JB3 now for a couple of days!!
I can't seem to be able to see/find any files on the unit using the Creative Driver, and bought Notmad to use..
worked fine the 2 times I tried it, but now it says, whenever I try to activate it, "The Device Drive could no be Intialized" and when I click OK it sends me to the Notmand page with this message where the file usually are-
Notmad cannot currently establish communication with your device. Please make sure Notmad is running in the systray and that your device is properly connected.
help with this or how to use the Creative Driver?

this has to be the worst way to interface your compwith your HD player I have ever seen, and I owned an Ipod among others..
Thanks!

I've had the same problem before.

[1] re-install the JB3 drivers
[2] reboot
[3] make sure the JB3 is plugged in via firewire prior to connecting with the Notmad connection manager

I actually had to go through the install disc and find the JB3 generic driver and install it on my JB3 before I could do anything.  It worked then I could go through and do anything.

I've had trouble with the newer drivers. I had to go back to the ones that are bundled with Creative File Manager 1.x. It was a pain to figure out and get running, but once I did it's been fine. If you want to try them and they aren't on the Crestive site anymore I could send them to you or post them somewhere.
