What's the right bag for me
« on: October 05, 2013, 01:55:40 PM »
Hi everyone,

Recently I have been doing a lot of outdoor stuffs and I currently use a bag that is big enough to carry only the essentials. So when I bring bigger windscreens I have to carry them in my hands, so then I have no open hands, which is an issue, so I am looking for a bag that is decent in price, and have enough room for the windscreens to always have in my bag, if I want. My concern is i want to have the smallest bag possible, and its nice if it has deviderw i can coatomize with. So here's what I carry

2 busman bsc1s
Naiant Littlebox
3-5 RC batteries
PCM m10
18ft gakable
2 joe meek shockmounts
2 wind tech clamps
Extra capsules
Km swivel mic bar, but I think I'm going to get a samba som stereo bar so it's bigger
RCA to 1/8 cable
Flashlight
Aa batteries
1 9v
Duct tape
Electrical tape

Let me know what You reccomend

Thank you

Sounds like a LowePro Nova of some sorts would work great!!! I forget what big model I used to have, but it was like a magnum 200aw or something like that? Came with a ton of dividers too. I'd look on eBay if I were you ;)

A Portabrcace CP Clip On Divider Pouch will nicely hold two of the Big Shure Windscreens. If your current bag is big enough for everything else and you only need to add your windscreens just pick up one of these.

Yep, was thinking the same thing. I got a couple of these and don't use them for windscreens but my random little bits and pieces. Nice little bags if a little pricey. I like that they have a clear plastic window.

keep an eye on ebay as CPs popup a few times a year and average $10-$15 which sure beats PB's $30 price

I think I paid $15.00 for mine a couple of years ago so deals are out there if you are patient.

Here is a photo of my Big Shure Windscreens with the tbrown dead muppets on them as in the CP Clip On Divider Pouch to demonstrate the fit.

Sure if you don't mind wearing fanny packs, this could certainly work too.

Digigal, I REALLY like your PB option tho. Especially nice since I can just clip it onto my LowePro camera bags I use for my rig ;) Def might pick up [1] or [2] of your PB Clip Ons for my Shure A81WS screens before summer time. I also like that the PB pouch has a clear window so you can be sure they're actually IN the pouch 8)

And I dont "wear" the fanny pack, its just clipped to my bag like your PB pouch is ;)
