Recording using a laptop.
« on: April 17, 2004, 06:35:51 PM »
Hey all,  The local radio station I listen too has a lot of cool bands come on and play acustic sets.  well, I know you can hookup the radio to the input on the soundcard on the laptop and record it making it a flac file.  Ive did a small test today using a program by the name of goldwave.

When I replayed it, it really didnt sound very well (atleast to my likings)  Is there any specific configuration I can use to make it sound better?

Sorry if this has been asked before.  And im still a complete noob to the recording aspect of music.

Thanks again folks.

regards,

jmr

what about the tape isn't to your liking?  Describe the sound, what you heard, and what was actually recorded

resolution.  I probably recorded it as an MP3 is my guess...  You have to redcord to at least 44.1k to have it be CD quality.  good luck man.
AKG 391's > phantom boxes > JB3 or Casio DA-7
Panasonic WM1610 omni's > whatever

Playback: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum > Onkyo TSDX595 > matched Oynix Rockets > Mirage FRX-S8 sub
