recommendation for good mic stand bag?
« on: May 31, 2005, 07:53:56 AM »
getting ready to go on the road and realized I could use a bag to pack my Bogen 3375 stand so I can check it - any recommendations? I'd pick up the Sonicase bag but it doesn't look like it's available anymore. thanks.

there was a gal offering to build custom bags in the yard sale, maybe a year ago?
something with/about posters (poster tubes) in her user name.

Me, I use an assortment of bags from the new folding camping furniture.

I won one of those folding metal/canvas chairs at a company picinic, my first thought "oooh, this'll make a nice stand bag".

You can probably buy one of those chairs w/the bag at wally world for less than a "stand bag".  The shoulder strap is handy...
Maybe a couple of small scratches, but thats because these mics are chick magnets.
Girls always up on Andy tryin to grab these mics, the scratches are from their wedding rings.

That would suck if everyone just brought clamps.   :D

dont get me wrong, I keep my stand in the trunk, but over the last 3+ years, I've had to use my stand only 2x and I'm usually the only taper at most shows I go to.

I went on a 7 day canoe trip in the boundry waters, MN, out of 3 of us we had a total of 7 filet knives.  The next year we all figured the other person would have at least one, cleaning lake trout w/a leatherman isn't all that easy.  :P

 ;D  I can also see a group with no one bringing T.P. ;)  That's roughing it! +T

Hel no, TP is like gold when you're on a trip like that.  I even brought baby wipes as  bartering item, you'll be suprised what you can get for a couple baby wipes 6 days in.  I scored a half nalgene bottle of Crown Royal last trip.  ;)

Another suggestion:

Gator GPA-88 Speaker Stand Bag, I've seen them go for $21 on E-Bay:
