+T for the pics, hows the UA-5 with the new battery?

just remember that you have to plug in the plug on the UA-5 end backwards.
-
+T Stejampzy!! Thanks for posting the pics. I was in and out of RS in 5 mins. This battery looks so sweet! Gonna try it out tonight. ;D

i just went out to wally world and bought this battery. i also headed to rat shack and bought a B, M, and a female-female adaptaplug. i'm pretty sure i have everything hooked up correctly. the "-" on my M is lined up with the "TIP" and the "+" on my B is lined up with the "TIP" on the adaptaplug.
but before i use this with my UA-5 i have to get something straight. should i charge my lithiumion battrery fully FIRST (for about 6 to 8 hours), or drain the battery down THEN charge it fully (for about 6 to 8 hours). i have heard both suggested, but i'm not sure which method is the correct way to condition a lithium ion battery. please help... ???
-
charge it first. i think it ships with half a charge. when the light turns green you are ready for the field.
-
yeah that is what the user manual for the battery said too (but i have been mislead by manuals in the past). thanks chris

I'm going to be buying one of these batterys in the next day or so,what exactly does the above statement mean? ???
I'm kinda not smart :(
-
you want to connect it like this: http://www.sidewalkcrusaders.com/photos/adaptaplugs.jpg
the negative side of the M tip should line up with the "tip" on the adaptaplug, and vice versa for the B tip
-
ahhh gotcha thanks and +t
also +t to stejampzy for his pics

Since this forum is over-saturated with walmart battery topics, I figured I'd throw this question in here....
I've been using this 9v a couple times and it works great. The other day I recharged it until the red/green light was blinking and I then plugged the ua5 in to see if it turned on. Everything worked fine but now the battery status lights wont turn on when I hit the black button. But when I plug it in, the light flashes to show it's fully charged. I have other batteries but was just curious, should I ignore the lights and use the battery as usual? assuming ~5 hrs?

my button get's a little sensitive sometimes too.... just push it in hard/far with your fingernail and it may help.

I am trying to buy these tips in Australia but they don't identify them with letters at the shop I went to.
Does anyone know the "size" of the M tip so I can get the correct fitting one.
A few different tips may fit snuggly but I want to ensure I get the correct one.
Thanks
