Title: 722 > Laptop for transfer

...What do I do for transferring vfrom the 722 if My Laptop only had usb?  Is there a firewire to USB adaptor?

I bought a PCMCIA card with FW on it.   (assuming your lappy has that port) Works for me.  Also got a buspower FW external drive.

...cool. I have a PCMCIA outlet. I figured that was the fix.

   I like the idea of the firewire ext HD also.

It will work beautifully.

Only snag is that the PCMCIA card will not be able to power the external Firewire directly, there simply is not enough power in the PCMCIA slot (power as in Watts of energy).

This of course does not have any effect on when you connect the 722 as it has its own power.
