Title: digi noise from connectors?
Post by: 1st set only on June 30, 2003, 12:04:39 PM
Hey all lookin fer some help here,

I was recordiong some sound effects this weekend (airplanes) and I was gettin some major digi noise with my UA5. It was sounding like a old record, pops and clicks all over the place. I was running mc012>Ua5>JB3 I switched the setup to at835> BatBox>JB3... No noise. I said shit my Ua5 shit the bed. but I took the righ angle connectors out of the
picture and the signal was clear. I am using the rat shack brand which looks very good and solid but maybe dirty. Is there anyone who knows a proper way to clean them or if the know if they are faulty?

also who sells the toslink to mini adapters cheap?

you can get the toslink>mini adaptors from sound pros, maybe from the shack.  Save it and pick yourself up one of these cables:

and be done with it
