This charger does not work with my Nomad Jukebox 3, I have two of them and only one charger, I used your charger and the screen started flipping out and it went black and flickered like bad TV reception, I used the Original Creative charger and it worked just fine. You stated it works for the Nomad Jukebox 3 and it does not. I would like a full refund please. Thanks

Hi, this is a very common symptom when you have a bad or weak dead/no battery (believe me, I have answered this question many times, I will add it to my listing in the future). As mentioned in the listing, this charger is actually much better than the original Creative product because it has build-in protection circuits to prevent damaging to your unit. It will limit the electric current going to your player if it detects high power consuming demand which indicates battery bad or shorted or something elses has gone wrong. The charger, at this time, will limit the current so as not to toast your circuit board (or some fuses on the board might blow). This latest technology has protected many electronic products. I have done tests and know exactly your symptom. The charger has no problem but if you still want to use your player with bad, or, without bettery, you can send the charger back for an older model which does not have protection circuit. I will pay the new shipping cost. Actually, I highly recommend that you chage the battery on your player so as to take the advantage of the protection fuction of this charger without having to return it. It is also not recommended to use the player on the original Creative charger only without battery installed.
Thanks and let me know if you have further questions.

I have tried this charger on both of my Nomad Jukebox 3's and it will not power it with batteries or without, then when I use the stock charger, it works.  Also, when I plug your charger in, the light goes from green to yellow, what does that mean?

Sorry for responding to you late because I am travelling this week and only checking my messages in a hotel room.
As mentioned earlier I would check the condition of your battery. The original Creative charger without protection circuit works no matter the battery is good or not but this new type of charger will not work if the battery is not good which might cause overheating of the player and might toast a fuse or something on the circuit board. The light turns to yellow or even red indicates that the protection circuit has activated because of sensing too high of electric current and it is protecting your unit. There is nothing wrong with the charger.
If you have problem finding a good battery for your player and still want a charger, I do have the original Creative charger for exchange only that it is $8 higher price. There will be no new $6.5 shipping charge just because I want to make you happy. If this is what you want please let me know.
Thanks.

Any help is appreciated, the voltage spec are different, could somebody fill me in if this thing should work or what ???

The Creative Zen products work for the JB3.  I know from experience - a guy at work has a Zen and let's me use his chargers for my JB3 (or used to, I sold my JB3):

Car charger (or splice in a 12v battery):  http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=749&product=13882&bypass=1

Home charger:
http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=749&product=14722&bypass=1

THis is a newer charger than the one I've used...

The specs are:  5vDC, 2.5A output from the car charger though...

I like that "home charger" link :)

This one I bought in that ebay link is:

5vDC, 2.0A - output

Is that causing the problem, this guy gave me all those excuses like bad batteries, they are not bad, i think he is off, but i dont know enough to back up my claim...

yeah, doesnt the jb3 need a minumum of 2.5 or 3A to just start it initially and power it on ??? I think it does, and then after it is initially powered on, it only uses 500mah during usage, even when recording..........
