iBook DVD player recording?
« on: June 20, 2006, 10:20:04 PM »
I've got a G4 iBook with Cubase SE/Audacity and I need to pull a clip off of a DVD. I can't seem to figure out how to assign the I/O so that I get a clean recording. All it's picking up is what coming out of the speakers via the internal mic.

Can someone walk me through it like I'm four years old?

i dont use cubase/audacity, i prefer toast or mactheripper but try opening preferences click "audio input" or something of the nature, then click something other than internal mic, say line in.

Thanks. I ended up going line out to my iRiver to capture the clip and then imported it into Cubase.
