I recieved a price list from a vendor of the AKG blueline series...
Our price on the AKG products are as follows:
The se300b/ck91 combo is $xxx.xxfor a pair.
The se300b's alone are $xxx.xx each
The ck91,92,93 caps are all $xxx.xx each
So I would need to get a pair fo se300b's then two caps...(I was thinking the 93's) right??
that is if I want AKG 391s right?

the 391s are the SE300B/CK91 card mic
The 393s are the SE300B/CK93 hyper mic
If you can only afford to get one set, I would recommend the hypers first.
I have a set for sale however, in the yardsale section that has both caps available! 8)

they do make extension cables that will seperate the cap from the body, but they are costly....

Yes. There's a part # in the Archival Info section if you want to research pricing. But as Nick says, they're costly (relative to the cost of the mics themselves).
