I agree, EAC should DEFINITELY be used for extraction.... its the only one that does an adequate job.
I generally use it for burning as well, but as of the last version 0.9pb4 Andre had not added support for many of the new generation CD-R/DVD (LG in my Dell
) combo drives in laptops, so burning is not an option there yet. It does work for extracting though.
He has just released a new 0.95 beta though, which I have not tried yet.
I used to use EZCDC, and produced a disturbing amount of coasters. After switching to EAC on my desktop machines, that business virtually dissapeared. Can't wait until I can get it going for burning on my laptop, now that I'm doing the 24/96 thing. Transferring all of those large files to the desktops is becoming a hassel!!
