I always liked running 9v li-ion batteries with my UA-5, and still use them with my R-4:

Yep, me too.  I use these batteries for everything now.  Another convenience is you can charge them in the car, which is quite handy...

cant find any on ebay?

where else I want to avoid stapes if possible, too expensive

Not sure what stapes is.  EBay's not the only place to find these.  Try Google - plenty of options.

9v 7.2 amp correct?

They're typically 9v / 5400 mAH.  Some are 7.2v and / or 4500 mAH.  I recommend the 9v / 5400 mAH model.

and I could run my jb3 off one also?

See your other recent post with the same question.

Power-Runner Universal Battery 2310. selectable voltage, small, runs the UA-5 forever. It is the perfect solution, and since it has selectable voltage you can use it to run just about any piece of gear.

I think I paid $50 for mine on clearance, if you look around you may be able to find a deal.

I paid substantially more for the PR 2310 but really like it.  With the selectable voltages it will power most everything.  I'm using mine with a HD-P2 and it works great.

Also, the Initial battery listed earlier is the standard with UA-5's.  They work great.

>>>>I've been really happy with this Initial battery from B&H Photo. Very quick charging up.

the jb3 is 5 volt.is there anyway I can use one of these for the jb3. I have a lead acid battery 12v with the jb3 cord stepdown 2v to>5v and plug on xlrs to battery or car charger.

I bought it for the UA5 but was wondering could I power the jb3

12v with creative cable>5v would work with the 9v im presuming..right?
