Title: Questions re 3 year old Pioneer Elite 43" plasma
Post by: dave w on June 04, 2007, 05:46:11 PM
I'm buying a new house, and the seller has proposed leaving a 3 1/2 year old 43" widescreen Pioneer Elite Plasma that is currently in the bedroom for $1,000.  I know Pioneer Elite stuff is big $, but dn't know the model number etc.  It is their bedroom TV (they have a 61" Pioneer Elite Plasma in the family room), so it probably hasn't had tons of use.  One fact that might help id it - he claims he paid around $6,600 for it when he bought it.
Anyone have any guesses as to features etc. this tv might have, or what its worth? Or intelligent ?s to ask if I can talk to the seller?  Obviously, with the little info I have this would be something of a gamble.

  Thanks for any input

Find the model number and you can check online to see how many hours have been used.  If it's low, it's probably a good deal.

its prob not the exact model as these, but my point is that for not much more you can get a brand new one
what he paid 3 yrs ago for a plasma is nothing in todays world

so depending on the model, hrs on it, 720/1080 (i'm betting 720) it could be a decent deal
