Title: 5.1 Receiver question concerning stereo A+B speakers
Post by: run_run_run on July 21, 2008, 09:08:25 PM
I currently have a cheapo sony 2 channel amp that I run newer JBL towers and and a set of Bose 201s. I currently don't have any 5.1 setup and think I might want one again for Flaming Lips Soft Bulletin 5.1, other studio 5.1 mixs, live 5.1 mixs etc. Do any 5.1 receivers allow you to run in stereo with 2 sets "A B" so I could use it to listen to stereo stuff with my current JBL / Bose setup? Maybe this is common and I am clueless

thanks

It is common.  Both of my 5.1/7.1 recievers have A+B speaker jacks...

A mentioned, most have two main stereo channel pairs A & B.  Most also have the option to run the 5.1 (or 7.1) set-up, which is usually speaker set A, in simple 2 channel stereo mode.
