Title: I broke my oade charger :( easy repair?
Post by: andrewkw on December 13, 2004, 04:22:58 PM
I broke the Oade BCI-4 charger when one of the 2 wires came apart, after I discovered this and put it down on the floor beside me i proceeded to accidently rip out the other wire when i got up :(

This seems like a pretty simple fix since as I understand it alll I have to do is remove the blue parts on the charger (sorry dont know what they're called) and connect the positive and negative wires to the correct sides again?  I really don't know much about batteries which is why I have this instead of a homemade one.  Is there anything I need to know to fix this?  I feel like this is a pretty dumb question but i figured I should ask before I cause more harm.

thanks for the help

no its simple Andrew, and you are right on the money about going about the repair, now as for which wire goes with which pole, you should just look at the ends of each wire and deduce which matches which to determine where the wires go back, believe it not this has happened to me many times
