found theses right angle USB cables. a lil pricey but will save wear and tear on the jacks.

http://www.usbfirewire.com/Parts/rr-abr02-14.html : for the Micro tracker

No need to even get a cable. I got this for my UA-5 and it works fabulously.

Note that this is advertised as USB 1.1, not 2.0 if that makes a difference to you. The right angle cables above are 2.0.

The Micro tracker takes USB mini. It does not look like these would work. ??? Great idea having the right angles though.

Several of the cables on that first link are usb mini.
I don't have an MT so i can't be 100% cvertain which you want but there are a lot there.
they also have right angle firewire cables.

the link you have above to PART# RR-ABR02-14 will not work for the Microtracker... USB Male B, which is what you linked to, is different than USB Male *mini*-B which the Microtracker uses. this is the part you want... http://www.usbfirewire.com/Parts/rr-2mbr01-72.html
And also, the Flexible USB Adapter Bm/af, White that tapermark posted will not work, again that is USB B, not mini-B... this is the one you want...

It is not right angle, but for the money, this is the shit...

Here is a great site to keep a link to... http://pinouts.ru/data/USB_pinout.shtml
If you look on the right there, it shows the difference between the USB-B & MINI-B.
As far as USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 go... for running from external battery boxes, it will not make a difference... for transferring data from the MT to a PC, just use the cable that came with the MT or take the card out and use a CF reader.
thanx for the heads up on the right angle, I wish it wasn't 72" though... 6 feet! wow.
later,
