We have a pair of these.  Very smooth and sound great on vocals and guitar cabinets.  We also used one a couple of weeks ago on sax with good results.  It's very much like a 57.  I used one on a guitar cabinet last month along with a 57 and I literally can't tell the difference between the two mics.

I imagine you could use it on just about anything with decent results, just like a 57.

Judging from the looks of that 58 I'm guessing it's got a few stories to tell.  :)

i've got a pair of m69's too. great sounding mics...although, the ones in the pic above look they have seen better days.
the rest of them are pretty much standard issue crappy '70's mics.
sm82 was a broadcast mic, the 545sd was an instrument mic (low end 57), the m300 and the ATM91 are handheld dynamic vocal mics.
none are really suitable for taping and each would fetch you roughly $50 (if you are lucky) on ebay...maybe a tad more for the m69's.

yeah they came from a punk rock club and have been used for quite a few things probably even bar fights, might use a couple to mic instruments in the studio, maybe a sweet wash tub bass!
