What happened to xACT for Windows?
« on: September 28, 2009, 01:56:16 PM »
Tried to locate the front end scott brown ported to Windows. Seems all the places that had it, no longer have it.

Any ideas on where to get it? Any other tools for creating DVD-A discs on a Windows machine that I should look for instead?

what ever happened to Wayne?  you disappeared! :)

i started moving xACT to windows, but never even got half way finished, then forgot about it.  no one seemed to be using it either, anyway, so I figured no need to finish...

I do have a simple GUI for the dvda-author command line tools, but I think Fab has made a GUI himself for windows that has more features

Nobody knows that more than the Texas crew. I started doing a lot of film work, then that dropped off. I was working part-time at a company and was given the ultimatum that either I quit or go back to work full-time for them. I choose to go back to work full-time, and next thing you know, I'm working 60 - 80 hours a week, with no time to do much else.

I've tried getting back into the recording stuff, but my hearts simply not there any more. I think I'm getting old. Staying out to 3 AM just isn't as appealing to me as it once was. ;-)

I am doing a few classical gigs every now and again, but nothing to write home about.

That's where I've been... that and on my motorcycle. I'd rather hop on one of my bikes and ride these days. In fact, I'm half tempted to put ALL of my gear up for sale.

not a mac guy but I used it when I used to boot into Windows; now the only time I boot into windows is to do audio work (cause I haven't found a linux alternative to Samplitude yet)
